 DAY 1

Arrive in Guadalajara and check into Casa Fayette in the hip Colonia Lafayette neighborhood. Head to dinner at I Latina, restaurant focusing on Latin American cuisine. After a long day of travel the vibrant interior will wake you up and get you excited for your weekend in Mexico.

 DAY 2

Breakfast at Casa Fayette where they specialize in local, organic offerings.   Head to the eclectic neighborhood of Tlaquepaque for shopping and gallery hopping through historical colonial mansions.   

DAY 3

In the afternoon hire a driver to Tequila.  First stop will be the UNESCO certified agave fields, then onward to Tequila town for a tour of the Jose Cuervo distillery. By the end of the day you will feel like a certified tequila expert.

Check in to Solar de las Animas and enjoy an alfresco dinner in their lovey garden courtyard.

DAY 4

Nurse your hangover by the pool at Solar de las Animas and spend the afternoon exploring  the charming town of Tequila. Don’t forget to check out the vendors selling local handcrafts in the square.  

Head to the Tequila Express.  In case you didn't get enough in town, there is a  tequila tasting and authentic meal served on this luxury train back to the city.

DAY 5

Visit Lienzo Charros de Jalisco to watch the oldest rodeo on Mexico and be awed by the skills of local cowboys competing against other rival teams.  Grab tacos at Tacos Providencia and head to the airport.
