A weekend of joie de vivre in Montreal

With a French heart and a distinctly Canadian charm, Montreal is a chic city ready to be explored.  I jetted north to celebrate my birthday and was won over instantly. Here's how to make the most of your long weekend to Québec’s biggest city.

Ritz Montreal - Original Ritz located downtown in the Golden Mile.  Classic elegance and excellent service.

William Gray- Contemporary boutique hotel in Old Quarter.  Great shared space with pool tables and popular rooftop in summer months

When booked through Wandering Eye Co you will receive exclusive complimentary amenities, upgrades and discounted rates

L’Express or Holder - classic french bistro

Foxy - amazing wood fired food

Foiegwa - Trendy spot for brunch or dinner.  Truffle pasta to die for

A Po Di Piu or Nora Gray - Solid Italian spots

Joes’ Beef - Renowned restaurant of Montreal

Schwartz or Arthurs Nosh Bar - Jewish Deli’s known for smoked meats - expect a line

Cafe Stash - Polish comfort food in cozy corner spot

Sumac or Damas - Middle Eastern - cheap and delish

Olive & Gourmando - Great fresh brunch or lunch

The cold room,  Atwater or Cloakroom - Start or end the night at these hidden Speakeasy cocktail joints

Bota Bota- Unique spa on the Saint-Laurent River

in the know

Walkable city with charming neighborhoods and riverfront paths

Reservations highly recommended for dinner.  Even when planning to sit at the bar

Weed is officially leagal in Canada. Dispensaries are located downtown Montreal and anywhere you can smoke a cigarette, you can smoke a joint. Just FYI….

Bota Bota provide robes and towels, but don’t forget flip-flops (or hotel slippers). Can be busy so plan visit accordingly.

Direct flights from East Coast Cities. 2 hrs from Chicago. Even better - customs on the front end of return - straight home when you land

Looking for a longer getaway?...

Just eighty miles outside of Montreal, Mont Tremblant is the perfect spot to play in the snow. With cobblestone streets, breathtaking views, and some of the best slopes on the continent - it’s time or apres!

Wandering Eye Co can assist in booking hotels and custom itineraries. Please contact us for exclusive complimentary amenities, upgrades and discounted rates at select properties.

Client Testomonial

Caitlin helped me plan the perfect weekend away to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Montreal had the perfect mix of European romance and Canadian charm. Her expert recommendations really helped us get to know the city - for 3 days we wandered and ate our way through the city. Merveilleux!
