The one and only Roma

Donna Camilla Savelli

In the hip  neighborhood of Trastevere.  Great refuge from touristy areas and winding streets are great for romantic dinners and wandering at night

Hassler Roma

Central location close to Spanish Steps. Wonderful views of the city to enjoy during rooftop cocktails

Hotel de Russie

Perfection.  Garden is what dreams are made of

Trattoria Da Augusto- Absolute hole in the wall but classic Italian Roman food.  Get cacio e pepe and classic marinara.  Real deal

Nonna Betta- Best in the Jewish Ghetto.  The roman artichoke

Flavio al Velavevodetto- Pasta Heaven

La Salumeria- Afternoon Nosh and Vino

Pierluigi- Fancy Dinner Out

Vatican - Get tickets before hand to beat the line.  Essential.  If you have time the Coliseum is cool, but the Vatican is phenomenal

Trevi Fountain - Iconic romantic spot. Get there early or late to beat the crowds

Piazza Navona - Bustling square with trio of fountains and vendors selling artwork

Campo de' Fiore - One of my top favorite spots in Rome.  Outdoor market setting Italian food souvenirs - perfect for gifts or afternoon snacks

Borghese Gallery - Impressive private collection of a wealthy cardinal, set in the Borghese park.  Be sure this gallery is on your list.

Rome can be be flooded with tourists, especially around key sights.  Don't forget to wander the city and get lost.  Hidden gems lie around every corner.

In the heat of summer, seek shelter in cool smaller churches where you will be awestruck by frescos

Melon gelato  from Gelateria del Teatro is the best summer treat.
